2023 NYU Update

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! DFSC is incredibly lucky to have such an amazing Friends group, and we are always grateful for everyone’s constant support throughout our journey. 

Our team has been busier than ever the past few weeks preparing for both competition and finals, and we sincerely apologize for the belated update. That being said, we came back from NYU last week, and we are thrilled to share that we placed 2nd overall!! 

Alannah McShine ‘25, Sasha Fear ‘26, Elena Luria ‘25, and Nathaniel Chen ‘25 all danced their way to the podium in their pattern dances. Also, congratulations to Emily Xu ‘27, Emma Kimchi ‘27, Grace Chen ‘24, Jessica Li ‘24, Levi Olevsky ‘GR, Nathaniel Chen ‘25, Rebecca Liu ‘24, Rowan Martey ‘26, Victoria Shaw ‘24, Claire Radin ‘27, Yue Zhuo ‘23, as well as Claire Macedonia ‘24 and Nathaniel Chen ‘24 for placing in their free skate and free dance events respectively! And a HUGE shout out to our ‘27s and everyone else who made their intercollegiate debut! We are so incredibly proud of everyone for working so hard and pulling through despite having finals during the competition, and look forward to seeing what the rest of the season brings. Special thanks to Cam and Coach Jacki, as well as all the staff, volunteers and families that came to cheer on the team throughout the weekend. We couldn’t have done it without you! 

Additionally, as the holiday season approaches, we are excited to announce that a DFSC merch shop will be available soon! We will have a wide variety of items ranging from x to y, and $10 of each item purchased will go towards the team. Our team is especially in need of fundraising this season, so not only will the merch be wonderful gifts for family members for the holidays, it would also be a great way to provide much needed support to DFSC!
