2024 Utica Update
We just got back from our competition at the Skating Club of Utica-Whitestown, and we are excited to share that we placed 3rd overall! With our finish at Utica, we have officially qualified for Nationals, ranked 2nd second in the Northeast Region! We will be headed off to Lake Placid for Nationals in a month (April 12th to April 14th).
Congratulations to Elizabeth Ding ‘24, Emily Xu ‘27, Grace Chen ‘24, Levi Olevsky ‘GR, Nathaniel Chen ‘25, Rebecca Liu ‘24, Anika Mukker ‘26, Skylar Wiseman ‘24, Claire Radin ‘27, and Yue Zhuo ‘23 for placing in their free skate events, as well as Nathaniel Chen ‘25, Grace Chen ‘24, Claire Macedonia ‘24, and Sasha Fear ‘26 for placing in their free dance events! In addition, Alannah McShine ‘25, Sasha Fear ‘26, Elena Luria ‘25, and Nathaniel Chen ‘25 all danced their way to the podium in their pattern dances. Our low, intermediate, and high teams also shined on the ice, placing first, third, and fourth in team maneuvers, respectively!
We are so proud of everyone for their work on and off the ice. Despite having to compete during finals weekend, each of the skaters stepped up and gave their all at the competition. We are ready to rest and recharge over spring break before taking on Lake Placid and representing Dartmouth at Nationals!
Finally, we are very happy to announce that the Club Sports Challenge has come to a successful end! We far exceeded our monetary and donor goals and are immensely grateful for the support that we have received. Your generous gifts will help us continue to skate at Thompson, take lessons with Jacki, and carry on the DFSC legacy!
We hope that you will keep following along with our journey. As always, thank you so much for your support and encouragement, and remember to keep up with our social media for more updates!
